Specialising in the Treatment of Alcohol Related Problems
Our aim is to restore dignity and confidence to the individual and to the families of individuals who have suffered or have been affected by the ravages of the illness of alcoholism.
We offer a process of recovery that works when the link between painful and unmanageable living and the presence of alcohol is identified. We believe that a powerful recovery from the illness of alcoholism is a real possibility and that the devastating impact of abuse in families can be reversed when the process outlined in our ageless recovery programme is adopted and maintained.
It is with the guidance and support of individuals who have recovered from alcoholism and experience life free from addiction and abuse that our new friends in the programme can experience the same transformation from an intensely abnormal state of living to an entirely new and unexpected quality of life.
We offer support to those who are able to accept their alcohol problem and our approach to recovery is based on the following predications:
- Alcoholism is a disease
- Alcoholism is not a moral failing
- Alcoholics can and do recover
- A treatment for Alcoholism is available
- Precise, specific and clear-cut direction is available to aid recovery
- Alcoholics can restore dignity to their lives by taking responsibility for their condition and seeking the available help that they need.
A range of recovery services are available at the Suffolk Twelve Step Workshop including Rehabilitation Programmes, Recovery Planning and Self Improvement.
Alcohol Awareness Courses and Presentations are available for Schools, Colleges, Prisons, Hospitals, Treatment Centres, Corporations and Small Businesses and Families.
The treatment of alcoholism at the Suffolk Twelve Step Workshop is based on the Twelve-Step Programme of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
We meet at 7.15pm each Saturday evening at Saint James Roman Catholic Church Hall, 482, Landseer Road, Ipswich Suffolk IP3 9LU. See
